Country Procedures

  • Customs application is mandatory. If the brand owner does not file a customs recordal, Customs will not seize the products of the brand owner
  • Customs application is valid for 1 year
  • If Customs contacts us by telephone or fax, we need to respond and verify the goods for export within 4 hours or goods for import within 24 hours and provide an Identification Report within 3 days. The deadline may be extended by another 3 days but is limited to one extension only
  • Local authorities (IP Police) are tasked with taking criminal action against infringers
  • Prosecutors are tasked with prosecuting infringers in a criminal procedure
