Based on the recent developments in Moldova, REACT can now actively assist its member companies in all legal matters on Moldovan jurisdiction, through the newly established branch of TURCU & TURCU, which is the REACT partner office also in Romania and Bulgaria. The Moldovan legislation on customs enforcement is fully aligned with EC Regulation 1383, including the simplified proceeding and the direct destruction of the products in case there is no opposition. The customs protection is focused also against the products in transit, which is very important for an EU bordering country. The dedicated and active customs IP Customs department already started the ex officio seizures and several important shipments of counterfeit products were stopped. As per the agreement with REACT, the Customs application is free of charge, and there are no attorney fees, besides the 100 Euro charge for costs like translations, notary certification etc.
